1938 Wood Engraving Pulp Mill Kaukopaa Thornton Oakley Art Finland Suomi XGG1 F3A Saving Bonds from the GovernmentThis is an original 1938 black and white wood engraving of the Pulp Mill of Kaukop. Thornton Oakley (1881 1953) was an American illustrator known for his work with "Century," "Harper's Monthly," and "National Geographic." Oakley collaborated with his wife, Amy, while creating a series of travel books. Amy wrote the text, and Thornton illustrated. Oakley studied at the University of Pennsylvania, and received degrees in architecture. CONDITION This 73+
