The original artwork was owned by Mrs. C. O. Kienbusch. Henry Varnum Poor Henry Varnum Poor (1888 1970) was a native of Chapman, Kansas prior to relocating to California, and, finally, New City, Rockland County, New York. Poor received his formal art education at the Academie Julian in Paris, as well as at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture and
