Germany, Wehrmacht. A Gold Grade Wound Badge, by Friedrich Orth GTRexclude 96" (August 1896) above the(Verwundetenabzeichen in Gold). Constructed of gilded zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch emanating from an oval baseplate, maker marked with LDO code L 14 for Friedrich Orth, Vienna, measuring
