When a rain lily gets to this stage it is a good time to dig the whole clump

and topped with upright panicles of large yellow flowers with downward pointing spurs

the foliage is delightfully minty

we have seen no sign of the stoloniferous trait of the Salvia guaranitica parent

Lycoris rosea Ueki Gladiolus South Korea during a 1997Lycoris x rosea 'Ueki' is a vigorous Japanese hybrid of Lycoris sprengeri and Lycoris radiata v. pumila, whose giant 28" tall stalks emerge for us in mid August, each topped with 6 8 intense rosy red flowers, tipped with an attractive blue lavender tip truly stunning! The leaves emerge in fall and persists all winter.
